Our beloved John Hughes
parted on September 5, 2022.

For many of us who knew John, we knew that he was special to everyone he met.

I remember when he hired me when he was the Director at Georgia Public Broadcasting. I had been doing a local radio show at the WUWG 90.7fm, one of the radios in the GPB network. I was doing two radio shows there, one in English and one in Spanish. Kevin Sanders was our manager there, and a great friend.

Later in 2016, John called me to become part of his team at KPVU 90.3 FM, a public radio from Prairie View A&M University. I accepted the challenge and there is not a day that I thank John for reaching out.

Rest in Peace dear friend!

If you are a friend of John and would like to appear in a tribute that we are planning, please let us know. You can send your voice messages to gigi@gg7productions.com

All for you John!
